The HR Mgr. will be responsible for enhancing employee engagement, retention and development while running a full service HR and Payroll/Benefits function. He/she will oversee and coordinate the HR function for 3 locations (Corp. HQ in NY; other 2 locations are in SC & CA) to meet the strategic goals of the co. and manage 1 direct report. The ideal person is someone with. that special blend of being both strategic and hands-on, who wants to make a positive impact.

● Legal compliance; Training
The HR Manager will be responsible for 130 employees, ~50% of whom are exempt. There are no union staff, so union reports not required; staff varies from Industrial Warehouse to Office/Admin to Managerial. The department turn-over rates vary in each department. The company currently uses ADP payroll (No HRIS) but HRIS is a possibility if proposed. Someone who worked with all levels of staff (industry doesn’t matter) is ideal for this position. The HR person will be traveling ~6 times a year to the different locations; will likely spend 3 full days in the other offices. (No HR staff are currently in place at the other sites).

● Intermediate IT/PC skills; Word & Excel for reporting & analytics
● Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and/or relevant 3-10 years of experience in human resources/management
