A property management company that specializes in affordable housing. Company employs and manages approximately 750 personnel who facilitate operations at the asset level. Company currently provides property management, legal, accounting, security, compliance, and maintenance services to over 14,000 units across 10 states. Company is currently seeking an HR Generalist to work with the Human Resources team.

Summary/Objective

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter to work on the Human Resources team. The incumbent will report to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources. The Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.

Classification

Non-exempt (overtime eligible)

Hybrid Schedule – 3 Days in the office/2 days’ work from home

Essential function/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following

  • Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • High volume recruiting for assigned portfolio group
  • Manages University and Community Outreach efforts
  • Assists with new-employee orientations, training, and onboarding events
  • Responds to reference checks, verifications of employment, unemployment claims
  • Oversees the employee referral program
  • Assists the HR team with special projects and compliance documentation.
  • Performs HR Compliance file audits to ensure all required employee documentation is collected and updated.
  • Tracks recruiting efforts for the HR team and search board postings
  • Conducts orientation and manages onboarding agendas
  • Manages agency contracts and assignments
  • Attends job fairs and school recruiting events

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Bilingual – Spanish a plus
  • Dayforce Ceridian is a plus
  • Previous HR experience a must (2-5 years) with heavy recruiting experience preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Strong sense of urgency is a must
  • Knowledge of Labor Laws and HR Policies and procedures are a MUST

***Temp to Hire. Begin as Temp at $25-31.00 per hour BOE. (Perm $65-70K)***
